Beth’s Tunic is too tight. She made her suggested sizes based on her measurements and did a full bust adjustment (FBA). She graded between multiple sizes, but the grading was started too low or the pattern needed to be shortened for her body length. She needs to size up and potentially adjust the pattern to have the amount of ease needed for it to fall smoothly without catching or bunching up on her curves. She also needs a shoulder and full bicep adjustment so that she can move her arms like a normal person.
Again Beth’s tunics are too tight! She picked the suggested pattern sizes based on her measurements. When she sits down the tunic bunches up around her belly & needs to be pulled back down when she stands back up. Just like with her tunic bible dress, she needs to size up and potentially adjust the pattern to have the amount of ease needed for it to fall smoothly without catching or bunching up on her curves. She also needs a shoulder and full bicep adjustment for the long sleeve version, so that she can move her arms like a normal person.
Lisa Comfort looks wayyyy better than Nina in her Florence Dress. Nina needed a serious narrow shoulder adjustment. She didn’t understand that at the time of this make and cut the sleeves off in an attempt to make this dress wearable. The main problem with this dress is the elastic waist. The dress looks alright when the elastic is positioned properly around her waist, but Nina’s belly is rounded in a lovey pot belly fashion which causes the elastic to get pushed up to sit almost directly under her boobs. Typical human activities such as breathing, walking, sitting, etc cause the elastic to roll up over her belly. Nina needs to do a narrow shoulder adjustment so that she too can have a dress with sleeves and also be able to move her arms like a normal person. She also needs to replace the elastic with a waist tie so that she can gather and cinch in the waist in a way that keeps the design of the dress while also allowing it to sit properly on her body. She also wants to lengthen the bodice so that the tie would sit more at her low waist in an attempt to create the illusion of a longer torso.
